The inspiration for the images entitled 'Burj Khalifa' originated from the world's tallest tower in Dubai, the legendary Burj Khalifa. What struck me most was, that despite the sheer scale and enormity of the tower, which stands at 830 meters to the tip, is the extreme attention to detail in every facet of this architectural masterpiece from the external detailing to the internal finishes, surfaces and intricate ceilings.

The images were captured using a Fuji X100F with the help of the handy built-in digital zoom, for some of the shots, which uses the whole of the Fuji X100F sensor. The images were cropped a little more in processing and contrast, brightness and saturation levels adjusted.

The inspiration for the image entitled 'Burj Khalifa' originated from the world's tallest tower in Dubai, the legendary Burj Khalifa. What struck me most was, that despite the sheer scale and enormity of the tower, which stands at 830 meters to the tip, is the extreme attention to detail in every facet of this architectural masterpiece from the external detailing to the internal finishes, surfaces and intricate ceilings. From the top of the Burj Khalifa the buildings below take-on a surreal appearance they almost look like a carefully crafted film set which is enhanced through the re-colouring of the image in blue and grey tones to enhance the water and normalise the building colours.

This image was captured using a Fuji X100F with the help of the handy built-in digital zoom which uses the whole of the Fuji X100F sensor. The image was cropped a little more in processing and contrast, brightness and saturation levels adjusted. I also re-coloured the image in blue and grey tones to enhance the water and normalise the building colours.
